A short bio about FI lagos journey through the years
Founder Institute Lagos is the Lagos chapter of the world’s most proven network to turn ideas into fundable startups, and startups into global businesses.
The program has been implemented over 8 cohorts in the last four years. Each cohort runs for 15 weeks with feedback sessions taking place very week. 3-5 mentors who are top CEOs and Operators from successful and fast-growing startups join us for every feedback session where they listen to the founders pitch and provide objective feedback to the founders.
Every feedback session is designed to focus on a specific aspect of the company-building process. In addition to the feedback sessions, we have an Office Hour planner integrated in our LMS, which enables Mentors to schedule time for one-on-one meetings with founders.
In the last 5 years, we have effectively accelerated and launched 135+ startups in Nigeria which have directly and indirectly created over 600 jobs. Our portfolio companies have gone on to raise over $5 million in funding. Over 1000 startups have been reached via our programs and multiple free webinars. We have grown to a community of 200+ startups and an ecosystem of 1000+ participants including founders, mentors, investors, and partners. New and early-stage founders have found our resources and insight to be critical as they build and scale their companies.
WHAT WE DO
We turn aspiring entrepreneurs into successful entrepreneurs through our 15-week long program. Our program is built around four core elements- mentorship, structure, peer support and technology leverage.
FI Core Program
It all starts with our renowned Core Program, which pushes founders at the idea and pre-seed stages to reach the milestones needed for investment and sustained growth.
Founder Lab
After completing FI Core, Alumni get free access to a series of additional virtual advisory programs to guide them towards their next major business milestones.
FI Venture Network
When ready, Alumni get featured on events and syndicated to a diverse pool of investors actively participating in a startup's first or second round of funding.
